- These LiFePO4 batteries, model SB2215, offer a significant weight advantage, being less than half the weight of traditional Lead Acid batteries while maintaining similar physical dimensions. They come with a 3-year warranty and are classified as hazardous materials. Internally, these batteries utilize advanced LiFePO4 pouch cells, widely used in portable devices, and feature an integrated Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS ensures uniform charging and discharging, providing protection against short circuits, overcurrent, and reverse polarity, which enhances safety compared to unprotected Lead Acid batteries. The BMS also manages discharge limits and cut-off voltage to safeguard the cells.
This 100Ah model delivers a continuous current of up to 100A, with peak currents reaching 150A. While not suitable for primary vehicle starting, it is ideal for house batteries, backup systems, and other applications typically served by large Lead Acid or AGM batteries.
