AUSTRALIAN GEOGRAPHIC DISCOVER TELESCOPE KIT
Code: 8016492 Brand: JAYCAR
The kid's been asking to see the moon for three weeks. You've looked at $600 telescopes, read forums, and you just want something that works on a clear Saturday night without a PhD in optics. This is it. The 60mm Discover Telescope gives you 50x and 100x magnification through two interchangeable eyepieces, a 3x finder scope to lock onto your target, and a mirrored diagonal so you're not craning your neck at an awkward angle. The 120cm tripod has pan and tilt, so you can sweep the sky without re-levelling the whole thing. It's light enough for a ten-year-old to carry to the backyard or the beach. Minimal assembly – you'll be looking at Saturn's rings before the cold tea gets cold. Comes with a lens cap so it doesn't collect sand in the storage box.
